Thursday Night Football

The Jets and Carson Wentz are involved in tonight’s game so there’s a high probability of comedy at some point on this week’s edition of Thursday Night Football. I’m looking at Jamison Crowder (NYJ) over 45.5 receiving yards (100 pts) for my first prop this week. With Mike White’s aDOT sitting at just 4.2 yards last week, Crowder unsurprisingly paced the WRs with 8/84 receiving on nine targets. Corey Davis is also out of the lineup once again this week so Crowder should be the top WR target. I’m taking Jonathan Taylor (Ind) over .5 rushing/receiving TDs (85 pts) for second prop tonight. JT has scored seven touchdowns in his last five games and the Jets have given up 13 TDs to RBs in just seven games. Sportsbooks have him at -200 odds or shorter to score a touchdown tonight too, so he’s a good bet to find paydirt. Good luck! — Tom Brolley

Sunday Football

I have been talking about Lamar Jackson a lot this week, and he should be lined up for a big day against the Vikings being the center piece of this offense. I love grabbing a combination of stat options, and the Lamar Jackson option is to be over/under 305.5 passing + rushing yards. Weeks 1-7 Jackson’s total yards were 321-346-345-344-504-218-345 meaning 6/7 of these games he was over the 305.5 option, sometimes by a lot. First pick for Thrive Fantasy will be Lamar Jackson over 305.5 passing yards + rushing yards (95 pts).

What do Dalvin Cook, James Robinson (2), D’Andre Swift, Deevonta Freeman and Michael Carter all have in common? They scored a rushing TD vs. the Bengals. Nick Chubb is up next vs. the Bengals, and is due for a big day in his second game after returning from injury. Chubb scored twice vs. the Chiefs and then again against the Texans and Chargers. Predicting the next score is this week vs, the Bengals, so my second Thrive Fantasy selection will be Nick Chubb over .5 rushing TD’s (80 pts).

My head is still spinning from all of the major NFL headlines this past week, including the Browns and Odell Beckham parting ways after a miserable start to this season. I’m looking at Jarvis Landry (Cle) over 57.5 receiving yards since he’ll be taking over as the clear #1 option in this passing game. Landry has 18 targets in his first two games back from his knee injury, and slot WRs Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios combined for 10/97/1 receiving against the Bengals last week. I’m also eyeing up Laviska Shenault (Jax) under 38.5 receiving yards. He’s a distant fourth in target share since D.J. Chark left the lineup in Week 4 with an ugly 14% share, and the Bills are allowing a stingy 5.6 YPT to WRs. I’m taking Marquise Brown (Bal) over 61.5 receiving yards for my final prop. Hollywood ranks third in aDOT (16.5) among the 50 WRs who have seen 40+ targets. The Cowboys had three different WRs post 80+ receiving yards against the Vikings last week, and they’re giving up the sixth-most FPG (40.4) to WRs. Good luck today! — Tom Brolley

Monday Night Football

What did we do to deserve to watch these two anemic offenses??? He’s been a major disappointment in his first two games since JuJu Smith-Schuster left the lineup, but I’m looking at Chase Claypool (Pit) over 53.5 receiving yards (95 pts). He’s finally off the injury report for the first time since Week 3 because of a nagging hamstring injury, and this could be the spot he breaks out against a Bears’ secondary that’s giving up a generous 14.7 YPR to WRs this season. I’m taking Khalil Herbert (Chi) under 62.5 rushing yards (100 pts) for my second prop since it looks like David Montgomery will return and steal some playing time on MNF. The Steelers limited Nick Chubb to 16/61 rushing last week, and they’re giving up the sixth-fewest FPG (19.4) to RBs this season. Good luck! — Tom Brolley
