CFB DraftKings Cash & Single Entry: November 20

I’m pumped for another fun, high-scoring Saturday Main slate!

This Saturday slate provides so many solid options at each position. Who do we start at QB: CJ Stroud or Kenny Pickett? Is Boston College QB Phil Jurkovec really only $4.5K? Is West Virginia RB Leddie Brown a lock versus West Virginia? Is Northwestern RB Zander Horvath finally healthy? Is Jayden Reed ready for an encore performance versus Ohio State this week? Which Ohio State WR should we have in our lineup?

Let’s dig in…

Against the Spread Picks

Wake Forest (+4.5) vs Clemson
West Virginia (-2.5) vs Texas
Boston College (-1.5) vs FSU

Total Wagers

Pittsburgh vs Virginia (Over 66.0)
Ohio State vs Michigan State (Over 66.5)
SMU vs Cincinnati (Under 65.0)

Quarterbacks

CJ Stroud, Ohio State vs Michigan State (DK: $9.5K | FD: $11.2K | O/U: 66.5 | Implied: 42.75)

CJ Stroud is having an exceptional first year, averaging 337 PASS YPG and 30 TDs for 28.2 FPG. He could not ask for a better matchup facing a terrible Michigan State secondary. The Spartans’ DEF is ranked 100th in QB FPG (25.0) and 130th in PASS YPG (329.0). Our entire roster construction this week is built around getting Stroud or our next QB, Kenny Pickett, in our lineup.

Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh vs Virginia (DK: $9.1K | FD: $10.8K | O/U: 66.0 | Implied: 40.25)

Kenny Pickett has seen his draft stock soar more than any QB this year as he is averaging 351.7 PASS YPG and 32 TDs for 32.8 FPG. He is an exceptional passer, but also provides some rushing ability, averaging 22.3 RUSH YPG and 4 TDs. Pickett has a favorable matchup versus a Virginia DEF ranked 109th in QB FPG (26.5) and 84th in PASS YPG (239.8). If Brennan Armstrong is healthy, this game has shootout written all over it.

Phil Jurkovec, Boston College vs Florida State (DK: $4.5K | FD: $8.7K | O/U: 54.5 | Implied: 28.0)

Phil Jurkovec surprisingly returned from injury two weeks ago and has led Boston College to back to back victories. Last week versus Georgia Tech, he threw for 310 yards and 2 TDs while rushing for 71 yards and 3 TDs for 48.5 FPs. Apparently, the DK salary makers didn’t get the memo that Jurkovec was back, because he is minimally priced at $4.5K. He is facing an FSU DEF ranked 120th in QB FPG (28.4). He is an absolute must in our Cash/SE (single-entry) lineups as he should be the highest-owned player on the slate.

Alternatives:

Jarret Doege, West Virginia vs Texas (DK: $6.2K | FD: $8.6K | O/U: 56.5 | Implied: 29.5)

Running Backs

Jahmyr Gibbs, Georgia Tech vs Notre Dame (DK: $6.6K | FD: $8.0K | O/U: 59.5 | Implied: 21.25)

Jahmyr Gibbs is one of the hottest RBs in college football. After a slow start to the season, Gibbs has scored 20-plus fantasy points in every game since week 5, averaging 25.2 FPG over that span. Gibbs is one of the most versatile RBs with 34 receptions and 469 receiving yards on the year so he actually holds even more value when his team is playing from behind like they will versus Notre Dame. At $6.6K, Gibbs is almost certain to hit value.

Leddie Brown, West Virginia vs Texas (DK: $6.2K | FD: $8.6K | O/U: 56.5 | Implied: 29.5)

Leddie Brown is the definition of a matchup-dependent player, yet is still averaging 20.4 FPG. When he has a favorable matchup, he hits. Luckily, he has one of the best matchups on the slate. He is facing a Texas DEF ranked 109th in RB FPG (28.3), 114th in RUSH YPG (203.3), and 119th in RUSH YPC (5.19). They have given up at least 100 rushing yards in every game since week 2. Last week versus Kansas, they allowed 171 rushing yards and 3 TDs. This defense is terrible. Brown is the RB lock of the week.

Zander Horvath, Purdue vs Northwestern (DK: $3.4K | FD: $5.5K | O/U: 47.5 | Implied: 29.25)

Zander Horvath is one of my favorite values of the week. Horvath was the starting Purdue starting RB to begin the year and had 19.2 FPs versus Oregon State before breaking his leg against Connecticut. He returned three weeks ago and has slowly been integrated back into the offense. I think this is the week we see Horvath fully healthy versus Northwestern. The Wildcats’ DEF is ranked 122nd in RB FPG (32.0), 125th in RUSH YPG (229.2) and 121st in RUSH YPC (5.47). Purdue is desperately looking for a spark in the backfield and I believe Horvath is ready to provide that. At $3.4K, it’s hard to envision a scenario where he doesn’t hit value.

Alternatives:

Kyren Williams, Notre Dame vs Georgia Tech (DK: $8.0K | FD: $9.4K | O/U: 59.5 | Implied: 38.25)

Hassan Haskins, Michigan vs Maryland (DK: $7.6K | FD: NA | O/U: 56.5 | Implied: 35.5)

$4.5K-or-less options:

Dominique Johnson, Arkansas vs Alabama (DK: $3.0K | FD: $5.9K | O/U: 58.0 | Implied: 18.5)

Roschon Johnson, Texas vs West Virginia (DK: $3.8K | FD: $7.4K | O/U: 56.5 | Implied: 27.0)

Ulysses Bentley, SMU vs UCF (DK: $3.8K | FD: $6.5K | O/U: 65.0 | Implied: 27.0)

Receivers

Jordan Addison, Pittsburgh vs Virginia (DK: $7.1K | FD: $9.3K | O/U: 66.0 | Implied: 40.25)

Jordan Addison is one of the best WRs in college football and Kenny Pickett’s favorite target, averaging 6 catches, 107 yards and 11 TDs for 25.6 FPG. Addison is leading the team in every receiving statistical category with a 22.3 percent team target share. His 8.9 targets are the 5th most of any receiver on this slate. The Virginia DEF is ranked 115th in WR FPG (29.8) and 84th in PASS YPG (239.8). Addison is primed for a huge game on this slate.

Jayden Reed, Michigan State vs Ohio State (DK: $6.5K | FD: $7.7K | O/U: 66.5 | Implied: 23.75)

Jayden Reed finally broke out of his slump versus Maryland with 8 catches, 114 yards and 2 TDs for 34.4 FPs. We knew this was a possibility, because he had been consistenly putting up solid stats all season. He simply stopped getting into the end zone over the last few weeks. Hopefully, he officially has that monkey off his back. This week, he faces an Ohio State DEF ranked 105th in WR FPG (28.4) and 108th in PASS YPG (261.1). Reed is averaging 11 targets over the last three weeks. I expect him to have an encore performance this week and he still is only priced at a modest $6.5K.

Chris Olave, Ohio State vs Michigan State (DK: $6.4K | FD: $9.2K | O/U: 66.5 | Implied: 42.75)

Chris Olave and the entire Ohio State receiving core has been phenomenal this year. For some reason, they are discounted by DK every week. This week, Olave is the cheapest among the big 3: himself, Garrett Wilson and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Hence, the reason I picked him. Olave is averaging 11 targets per game over the last three games after receiving more than 10 targets only once through the first seven games. The MIchigan State DEF is ranked 130th in WR FPG (33.3) and 130th in PASS YPG (329.0). Ohio State is going to throw the ball a ton this game so all three of the starting WRs are in play, but Olave is a lock to hit value at $6.4K on DK.

Alternatives:

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ohio State vs Michigan State (DK: $7.9K | FD: $8.5K | O/U: 66.5 | Implied: 42.75)

David Bell, Purdue vs Northwestern (DK: $7.3K | FD: $9.5K | O/U: 47.5 | Implied: 29.25)

Xavier Worthy, Texas vs West Virginia (DK: $7.2K | FD: $9.0K | O/U: 56.5 | Implied: 27.0)

Garrett Wilson, Ohio State vs Michigan State (DK: $6.8K | FD: $9.4K | O/U: 66.5 | Implied: 42.75)

$4.5K-or-less options:

Dylan Goffney, SMU vs Cincinnati (DK: $3.0K | FD: $5.2K | O/U: 65.0 | Implied: 27.0)

Jared Wayne, Pittsburgh vs Virginia (DK: $4.3K | FD: $7.4K | O/U: 66.0 | Implied: 40.25)
