Brett Whitefield

Director of Data & Research

Brett Whitefield is an experienced professional in football analytics, with more than a decade in the business. He has held several key positions with some of the top companies in the industry, including as a process manager at Pro Football Focus (PFF), where he spent more than seven years, and as the COO and Analytics Director at FTN Data. Brett has also worked with and consulted for multiple NFL teams and Power-5 NCAA football programs.

In addition to his professional experience, Brett has a deep passion for football analytics, as evidenced by the hundreds of articles he has written and the numerous podcast and radio appearances he has made. Currently, Brett leads the data and research division at Fantasy Points, where he continues to bring his expertise and insights.

As Director of the Data and Research division, Brett has developed a robust data collection process that captures over 750 data points per NFL play. Additionally, he has hired and trained Fantasy Points’ data collection team, which he personally manages and oversees.

In addition to his data expertise, Brett will be leading our NFL Draft content, including our Prospect Guide, starting in 2023, ensuring that Fantasy Points remains at the forefront of football analysis. He is also a valued producer of content for the site, co-hosting the popular Take Talk podcast and providing insightful analysis and commentary on all aspects of the NFL. With his broad range of experience and expertise, Brett is an essential member of the Fantasy Points team.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Brett is also a loving husband and father of four. When he's not working or following football, he enjoys keeping physically active and challenging himself. Brett is a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) practitioner, competitor, and medalist. Also a mixed martial arts (MMA) enthusiast, Brett has a deep appreciation for the mental and physical discipline that goes into demanding athletic pursuits.
